JtW the Cditcr Another year at USD has passed and with it memories of happy times and important events that we shall always remember. Many of the events of college life at USD have become traditional. Dakota Day, varsity games, Strollers, graduation — bring back pleasant memories not only to us but to the many students who attended USD in years past. University life in itself has become traditional. The college way of life follows a similar pattern year after year. In recognition of this, the theme of tradition has been carried out in this year ' s annual. TRADITION — We are proud of South Dakota — our native state — the state of cattle and small farms. As we spend our college days here, we soon realize that we are embarking upon the threshold of a challenging atomic age . . . However, these thoughts are pushed into the back of our minds as we work and play in our role as students at USD. It is the campus traditions that we remember most. Yes, we will long remember rush week, long registration lines, sleepy 8:00 classes, bridge at Mike ' s, the Volante, Christmas caroling, vacations, semester tests — a new start in a new semester — Strollers ' practice, Religious Emphasis Week, spring with its picnics, songfests, the Military Ball — more semester tests — for some the culmination of college days, graduation. To recapture the memories of this year, it is with pleas ure we present to you for the safekeeping of those memories — the 1955 COYOTE.
