JreAtnatt ClaAA OtfjfteerJ For the first time in recent years, the FRESHMAN CLASS was organized as a unit, electing governing officers and carrying out various projects. The Dakota Day bonfire, one of their more laborious duties, showed by its height and flames that class spirit is being instilled in the GREEN FROSH. OFFICERS: Vilas Mayer, Vice-president, Donald Hansen, President, Keeta Risser, Secretary- treasurer. A big project was building the rabbit for the bonfire. All that work gone up in smoke. 23

The Interfraternity Council, composed of two representatives from each of the seven national social fraternities on cam- pus, is a mouthpiece to promote under- standing and good relations among the fraternities themselves, the rest of the student body, and the University. Dick Chaussee, as President, led this year ' s IFC through its various activities from Rush Week to the Miss U contest.
