Gault, of Tacoma, 'Washington was elected to the presidency of the University at the beginning of the present year. Upon the broad founda- tions that have thus been laid for an educational institution which shall be an honor to our connnonwealth, Doctor Gault is planning to carry forward the work of building the greater University of South Dakota. Perhaps the two salient features of his policy for the present are found CID in his plans to interest the people of the State more fully than ever before in their University, to press its claims upon them, and to familiarize the people with the educational opportunities which the University offersg and C25 his 'fSix Hundred Clubn idea, which is the slogan to rally the friends of the institution to a campaign for a largely increased attendance of students.
