Each individual campus community is developing its own traditions as a part ot the Greater University, and this volume depicts the history ot another im- portant year. The Regional Campus System is designed to pro- vide gualitied students with the tirst two years ot University training or terminal programs in several fields. These students, tor the most part, would have been tound on other college campuses had this program not come into being. Its existence, how- ever, has made it possible tor them to begin their higher education in an atmosphere which combines the personal attention ot the small college and the resources ot the large university. In the development ot the Regional Campuses the University has been greatly assisted by I-Iigher Education Commissions in each local area. Present Commission members are: AIKEN: Julian D.
