Scanning over the past, and having looked at the present, we are aware of the expansion of the University; the construction of Carolina ' s more modern buildings, such as Sims and Preston Col- leges, two of the most beautiful dormitories in the South, as well as the only school of education in the state, Wardlaw College. With the coming of peace and the veterans, the greatest enrollment in the history of the Uni- versity called for space and more space.
