A s M P- SRC President Walter A. Wawruclc Now that we are about to graduate and leave these familiar Greystone walls, we cannot help but look nostalgically back over the years we have spent here in work and study. We wondered, when we came as nervous, eager Frosh, what would happen in the years to come. Frosh week with its strenuous, exciting activities welcomed us to our new life. Graduation now bids us farewell and only memories of these years will remain. These years have meant so much to us. Our lives have been enriched through associations with fellow students and faculty members, and through participation in clubs, socials, and that favorite of all classes - the Marquis Hall lpreviously MUBJ class. There have been disappointments, but they have been small compared to the rewards we have received. We have learned to know ourselves - our capabilities and our limitations - and now we are mature individuals ready to take our place in society. However, we cannot help but regret that the last year of our life here at university is over. We may return for a visit, but we will never again stand in line for books and registration at the beginning of the year, we will never again rush from the Library, or from Marquis Hall to our next class hoping that the professor will be late so that we can make it on time, we will never again see the welcoming lights of the Gym, or of Marquis Hall on a frosty night, nor will we sit within talking and laughing and smoking and drinking the famous cafeteria coffee. Above all, our years here have provided us with a set of tools with which we can endeavor to build a secure future for ourselves and our country. Saskatchewan has reason to be proud of her past graduates. Let her have reason to be proud of us too, and let us earn the respect and regard of our fellow citizens, and show that our years at university were well spent. Deo et Patriae. Good luck to you all.
