Spinks To the Graduates of 1965: For the past few years the University Campus has been domi- nated by the word, change - changes in numbers, changes in buildings, changes in program. This last year has been no exception. As a matter of fact, we welcome these changes. The larger student numbers have enabled us to build up staff which has in turn led to a desirable increase in depth of program. The opening of the Accelerator Laboratory, the establishment ofa College of Veterinary Medicine and the appointment ot a Dean of Residences were notable examples of this change in program, each helping in its own way to keep the University abreastwith the times. All in all, the University that you are about to leave continues to make progress. But if I might make on analogy to the voy- ageurs of earlier days, we are no longer paddling in leisurely fashion over a pleasant lake, but we are being swept by the current along a rapidly flowing river, full of white water and hidden obstacles. The rate of progress is rapid, but strong arms, a sharp eye and a uniform purpose are required if the boat with its valuable cargo is to run the rapids safely. As you leave the University, we wish you good luck and bon voyage. ' X .J L1 ff K! J.W.T.
