Standing, Blaine Scott, Engineering, Doug Korman, Director, Morley Billett, Agriculture. Missing, Joyce Strelioff, Arts, Dennis Dobson, STM. The Music Directorate took on new scope this year by presenting a Sunday evening recital. On Feb. 5 soprano Carmen Mehta-Lasky and bori- tone Harry Dahlem were featured in a recital at Convo Hall. It is hoped this will be the first in a series of Sunday evening recitals. ln April, the Directorate produced a concert for the C.B.C. With some new arrangements and many fine, swinging sounds, the Varsity Dance Band again proved itself to be Canada's Number One Col- lege Dance Band. An all-campus Concert Band was formed un- der the direction of Prof. Kaplan, and proceeded successfully through its formative stages. Doug Korman Practice session for the Concert Band
