a bright sunny morning welcomed us here in manila. it is really nice to be back home. hmmm! the beauty of the city...it is so heavenly. after being away for so long in connection with my research Work in mindanao for the philippine atomic energy agency, it is so nice to be back. together with me in the ship were engineer FERDIE MESINA, professor MABEL ADEVA, dean of the college of arts and sciences of the mindanao university and TESS GARCIA, a college professor in the same university. an invitation for the wedding of a filipina international beauty queen AMY LLOREN had brought us back in manila. we later found ourselves comfortably riding in a special bus which was to take us to the malacanang palace. we were warmly welcomed by his excellency, president DANILO JIMENEZ and executive secretary NOEL MAGTOT0. they were expecting us since the day before, i later learned. and. . . oh!! senate president ALBERT BACUNGAN and speaker protempore REY VILLANUEVA were also there to meet us. there also came justice secretary GAMA AGUILA. We had a nice time exchanging pleasantries and chismes t that. then we decided to go to the makati medical center to visit the first lady. the president informed us that she had been sick for the past days. wow, this hospital is a magnificent edifice! thanks to architects FRANCO MANLAPAZ and ROS PASCUAL and to engineer JIM INCIONG. they truly poured all their efforts towards success. ' as we stepped in the lobby, i saw a number of doctors on their way to meet us. wait a minute... are they?? yes! i can still remember! they are doctors JIMMY LACSON, LEN DAYAO, BEBOT BAISA, BERNIE MAGALONG, ROGER VELASCO and...is that.. JON-JON SUAREZ? that's him alright. look at my dear high schoolmates. they look so gorgeous with those White uniforms and stethoscopes around their necks. tsk! tsk! let's see...there is also a group of nurses over there beside the information desk. and... hmm .. that's NENE ABELLO and TESS ALAMBRA together with JOSIE GUTTIEREZ, NITS DAVID, JESS GOPEZ, ROSLEEN ROCA and MARILYN GRANADOS. there's also ZENY GUIAO and CONY LIMFUECO. iwonder what they are talking about. here comes the head nurse ELENN NAGUIT with asst. JHEN VALENCIA. it's good JHEN saw us. oh gosh! she can never forget me. they are now all here to join us. well, well guess what happened next. of course women's weakness. . .chatting. we were about to enter the elevator when a group of young men entered the lobby. i see them now. they are press secretary NARCISO TUD, secretary of defense EDDIE DONATO, secretary of public Works REY SAN AGUSTIN and finance .secretary BENJIE LLAGUNO, all of whom were also going to visit the first lady. it was dr.
