And then more speci- fically for engineers, how ,to isolate problems and create solutions - engin- eering design. There are many alternate ways to ac- complish a goal - like cross- ing a river, or reaching the jmoon. The preferred al- ternate depends on fre- quency of use, costs, safety, comfort, reliability to mention a few. I know it is some- times difficult to match these goals with the courses in which you are enrolled at the Univer- sity, but if you look closeiy, ther is a connec- tion.
