Despite the challenge of a record twenty teams, the powerful Easy Riders captured their third straight powderpuff football championship by defeating Purple Haze in the playoff finale. For the Riders, it was not only their third straight championship but also their third undefeated season in a row. The top two teams reached the finals by defeating two younger teams - the Screaming Yellow Zonkers and the Panthers. Playing by far the toughest schedule, the Zonkers provided some of the most exciting moments of the season, including a 12-0 victory over the Foxy Ladies in a game billed as the game of the century. The confidence, experience, and organization of the veteran Riders, however, were too much for the other clubs in the playoff battles. Standouts for the champions included the sister team of Anne and Barb Meihaus, Debby laconis, and Peggy Lautze. Named to the All-Star Team from the runner up Haze Team were Chris Schmuck and Mary Ann Crowley.
