Connolly. SJ. (1915-1969) For thirteen years Father Connolly prepared for the day that he would become a priest forever. From the day of ordination to the day of his death, the first act of the day was to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, as mediator between God and man. Many were his duties as Rector, President and Provincial but he always had time to administer the sacraments, to teach by work and deed, to console and aid those in sorrow and suffering, as an ambassador of Christ. As a son of Ignatius he was motivated by “the greater honor and glory of God. His obedience and loyalty to the Pope as head of the Church cannot be questioned. A sincere priest, an understanding representative of Christ and a faithful Jesuit, may he rest in peace.
