Dean of Men Father Robert A. Sunderland. S.J.. was named Dean of Men in 1964. Since that time he has shown a sincere interest and warmth in his dealing with the University s resident students. With patience and a personal touch, he is able to perform his highly responsible position very successfully. Dr. Frances Anne Dolan. Dean of Women Dean of Women The University's first Dean of Women. Director of the Evening College Father Gerald A. Sugrue. S.J.. Director of the Evening College, supervises the administration of the University’s extensive Evening Division which offers courses in liberal arts, business administration, and mathematics. All courses are taught in accordance with the University s standards, and can be used for college credit. Father Sugrue first came to the University of San Francisco in 19-10. He returned in 105 5 and has been, in addition to his position as Director of the Evening College, an Assistant Professor of Theology. Gerald A. Sugrue. S.J.. Director. Evening College. Head Librarian Miss Juliet B. Clark has been a member of the Richard A. Gleeson Library Staff since 1953. She earned her B. A. degree at Dominican College, her M.A. at tin University of California, and the Certificate in Library Science. She became Acting Head Librarian last year. Gleason Library has as its primary function the support and enrichment of the undergraduate and graduate programs of the University. Since the Library serves all the interests of the L'niversity. it must be closely integrated with its administration and educational policies and practices. Director of Development As (He University’s Director of Development, Mr. Thomas F. Jordan is greatly responsible for the University's recent expansion. It is the Development Office which oversees and provides for the long range expansion plans of the entire University. During the past year that office has been largely concerned with the planning of the Student Union and Hayes-Healy Hall. Thomas F. Jordan. Director of Development.
