BASKETBALL DICK BRUCKMAN Bink could always be counted on for a good performance. He isn't very large for a college forward, but can hold his own against larger men because of his knowledge of the game. We remember Bink best this season for his great play against tall Lawrence Tech. DON COFER Don developed a great deal his first year and looms as a bright prospect for future years. He has size, speed, and ability, so with this season's experience under his belt, he should be ready to go. CAPTAIN, MARVIN CURRY Chief had a great year as a Redman, being chosen as Honorable Mention All-Ohio in a poll conducted at the season's end. He was our leading scorer with an eighteen point average, the leading re- bounder with a total of 364, the most accurate foul shooter by hit- ting seventy-five percent of his attempts, and led the NAIA in field goal accuracy by hitting sixty three percent of his shots from the field. In addition to this, he was one of our best defensive men, gen- erally getting the toughest assignment. 1 JERRY DAVIDSON Jerry always kept the team rolling when he entered the game. He really puts hustle and drive into a team, because he excels in these departments himself. Jerry is one of the better shots on the team, acquired through long hours of practice. JACK DUNKER Jack always loomed as a threat to opponents because of his tre- mendous speed. He is a good ball hawk, shoots well on the run, and really loves to fast break. Dunk was one of our leading scorers with a twelve point average, but probably his most value to the team was as a playmaker. JACK GOSSETT Jack was the only squad member who has earned four letters. He was fairly small for a college pivot man, but generally made it tough for his opponent by pulling him out in the floor where Jack could really burn the nets. He ended the season with a ten point average, but is best remembered for his thirty six point outburst against Transylvania, an individual high for a Redman this season. Jack has the distinction of playing on Rio Grande teams that have won ninety two games while losing only twenty five. No other play- er in the history of the school has such a fine four year record. PAUL KEGLEY Paul played some excellent ball this season as a freshman, and should have a bright future at Rio Grande. He is a top notch defen- sive man and has an excellent iump shot. With the experience Paul gained this year, he should really be rolling by another season.
