Zf ie Ducking of Sergt. Williams. January 12, 1896. Mr. Williams, the largest man That ever walked the floor, Was startled, Sunday evening, By a rap upon his door. It sounded quite suspicious, So he stirred not from his chair ; But the club kept up its thumping Till he felt like pulling hair. Then Sergt. He’d mounted to the second floor, Red-hot without and in, And, had he been short-legged, He might have had to swim.
