CLASS GF 1952 GOTTLIEB BAER President More -than 300 seniors joined together to make the last year of the Class of 352 their most active year at Portland. Led by President Gottlieb Baer from Bend, Oregon, the fourth-year men gave two dances, a sport dance termed MA Night In Hawaiiv in the fall and the annual Senior Prom in the spring. Their most entertaining event was the senior-fac- ulty basketball game in April. By means of an individual assessment, the seniors were able to donate the foundation for the largest telescope in the Northwest to the school as their class gift. Nineteen members of the class were nominated to the national honorary, Whois Who in American Col- leges and Universities.
