V i Although it can scarcely be said that Logan Hall has been neglected in the building plans Qfor the days were few in the last four years when scaffolding was not touch- 1514 ing some wall of the old Wharton Schoolb, still the com- bining of Logan Hall with Hare Laboratory, which was A completed in the early fall of 1926, was perhaps the most ,L notable improvement. In this connection, perhaps, V 'W mention might be given to the new Alumni Hall, de- E l scribed by Dean Johnson as the fulhlment of a long- Lil cherished dream. Located in 210 Logan Hall, it will be A' lil a convenient place for such events as informal receptions, y , faculty teas, Alumni Society and Beta Gamma Sigma , f, , , same of Edgar Fabs smith - my '1,..,, meetings and the like. About the end of the year 1926, or the beginning of 1927, the University pro- foil? P. vided a new home for the Moore School of Electrical Engineering. The previous summer, title had been obtained to the building which stands at the southwest corner of 33d and Walnut streets. This structure was then completely remodeled 'A and is now said to be one of the best equipped schools of its kind in America. ' Since its creation, in 1923, the Moore School of Electrical Engineering had, prior l to December, 1926, been housed in the Engineering Building. if, So much for what has been completed in the last four years. But there still exist several important evidences of present progress in the form of the new Audi- torium which is being erected on the corner of 34th and Spruce streets and the gy new Christian Association building, the site for which is at 36th and Locust streets. if-l The former will see completion some time during the 1927-1928 school session, or at least will be far enough along to give the Class of 1928. the honor of being the first to be graduated from within its walls. The latter, .jf commonly known as Memorial iflfj, Hall, or The Heart of the Cam- pus, -is expected to be ready for lm., use about the same time, although fly! as yet work has barely got under way on it.
