The knowledge, slcill, and handicratt necessary to carry out these requirements comes with close, long continued, and patient application. The student progresses trom technique pieces designed to acquaint him with the advantages and limitations ot basic dental materials to the ultimate construction ot dentures in clinical practice. ln content and arrangement, the course in Prosthetic Dentistry has loeen planned to stress the tundamentals underlying all procedures. in memoriiam MARIE O. DUNLAP Classes for fhe pasf fwelve years will be saddened fo learn of fhe passing of Miss Marie O. Dunlap, on February IZ, l955. Marie, as she was lovingly known fo her fellow workers, fhe faculfy, and sfudenfs, re- fired from fhe college in November of I954 because of ill healfh. During fhe monfh of December, she underwenf an operafion from which she failed fo recover. For a number of years Marie was relief radiographer before joining fhe sfaff as a full-fime fechnician in I943. Af fhe fime of her refiremenf fhe deparfmenf had grown fo such an exfenf fhaf if was necessary for her fo have fwo assisfanfs. Her enfhusiasm for all fhings concerning fhe school, and her personal inferesf and concern for each sfudenf was always apparenf. She is probably remembered mosf for her affendance af every commence-menf exercise, where she gave her personal con- grafulafions fo each graduafe wifh an affecfionafe embrace. The college will always cherish fhe memory of our loyal friend, Marie O. Dunlap.
