The build- ing was constructed across the draw from the school group and was dedicated to provide modern treatment 'lor patients suffering from tuberculosisg to promote scientific research into the cause of disease, and to train a limited number of future physicians and nurses in 'the field of tuberculosis. The hospital was opened in the fall and its eighty beds were soon full, and its out-patient department busy.
