OR CENTURIES the allied hands of physicians and nurses have ministered to the ills of Man. They have walked with him through The Valley of the Shadow and have stood with him at the Pinnacle of Achievement. They know his tremendous amhi- tions and recognige his silly foihles. They, as no other group, have reached into his innermost depths to study the miracle of God called Mari. Thus, the physicians and nurses, though realizing his limita- tions, have become fully aware of his possibilities, they know the heights to which, given the way, he may achieve. This goal, The Brotherhood of Mankind, has been on our horigon for almost twenty centuries as Aflan has continued to linger along the clear, but difi- cult, pathway to this destination. We, students of the University of Oregon Medical School know that only through education ma this 1 ' y goal he achieved. We pledge ourselves, then, to the accomplishment of this ideal.
