Hunter in 1936. This Phi Beta Kappa football letterman from the University of Nebraska has been president of the National Education Association, superintendent of schools in Oakland, California, chancellor of the University of Denver, and author of many books on edu- cation and numerous educational papers. From headquarters in Iohnson Hall, the smiling gentleman keeps the State Board posted on the latest developments and needs of the institutions.
