And the sweetest dreams in all this world Are dreams of Oregon. Once again I turn in fancy To those days of long ago, I can see the teams before me Winning fame and glory for the thll; I can see the college rallies, Where they sang of victories won, And the sweetest dreams in all this world Are dreams of Oregon. Oh, those days at Oregon! They are the best of all, Those dear old days at Oregon Are past but oft recalled; And yet in fancy I return To those good times for which I yearn, I want a shady place By the old mill race At dear old Oregon.

The opportunities open to me here for securing training, ideals and Vision for life I deeply appreciate, and regard as a sacred trust, and do hereby pledge my honor that it shall be my most cherished purpose to render as bountiful a return to the Oregon people and their posterity, in faithful and ardent devotion to the common good, as will be in my power. It shall be the aim of my life to labor for the highest good and glory of an ever greater commonwealth.
