Alpha Tau Omega After completing a successful summer rush in which they pledged 46 men. the ATO's enjoyed another year of distinctive variety. Particular emphasis was placed on the Tau social life this year with more and larger parties. The fall opened with two parties for the pledges — the Victory Party and the Great Pumpkin Party. The ATO formal ball and the Playboy Party were a tremendous success. The Bowery Ball (OU's second oldest traditional party) and the Barroom Brawl ushered in spring rush. The diversity and quality of the ATO's were displayed in their excellence in other aspects of college life. Several of the men were very active in campus activities and politics as the Tau's held the Interfraternity Council presi- dency. Student Activities presidency, and many other important positions on campus. The ATO pledges once again participated in the annual National Help Week instigated by ATO. The pledges performed services for the city of Norman and the University Community. The ATO honorary organization, the Little Sisters of the Maltese Cross, continued in its service to the house in many areas. They served as hostesses on football game days, helped with alumni relations and other house activities.
