IFC adopts child, sponsors Olympics The Interfratermty Council serves as the official coordinating and governing body for the various Greek houses and organizations. The programs and plans it adopts are those which will benefit the Greek system. These programs included both campus and outside charitable organizations. This year the IFC adopted a foster child under the Foster Child Plan Inc. of New York. It organized its own alumni newsletter program. Joining with Panhellenic. IFC sponsored Greek Revue. Greek Work Day. and also Greek Week which was highlighted by Special Olympics for the handicapped. John A. McCaleb served as president for the Council as it strove to involve itself more with community affairs than it had in the past. IFPC holds work day, tourneys j' With the combined efforts of the eighteen pledge and associate members classes, this year's Interfraternity Pledge Council formed a brotherhood of their own. In the fall, activities consisted of the annual IFPC Football Tournament and the Greek Work Day. Diversity was a factor as second semester brought new innovations. For the first time IFPC Basketball and Softball Tournaments were formed. Membership in IFPC consists of two representatives from each house. IFPC serves to orient members with the workings of the Interfraternity Council and the Greek system.
