STUDENT HEALTH SERVICE Dr. W. A. Fowler, director of the student health service, is charged with the supervision of the uni- versity infirmary. l-le came to the university this DR- W- A- FOWLER year, assuming the position formerly held by Dr. C. S. Bobo. After being associated with the Univer- sity of Oklahoma Medical School, Doctor Fowler did general practice Work in Fayetteville, Ark., until he became head of the infirmary staff in September of this term. A small fee which is levied at the beginning of each semester assures hospitalization and medical care to every university student un- der the care of competent doc- tors and nurses under Dr. FoWler's direction. Physical examination by the infirmary staff is required for all students taking military science and physical education courses. The infirmary is charged with the prevention of the spread of contagious dis- eases, as Well as the treatment of small injuries.

D. at the University ot Tulsa in 1929. 1-le serves on the following committees: Admission, Advanced Standing, Editorial, Program, and Student Loans. DR. ROY GITTINGER Mr. Lindsey has been Financial Clerk ot the University ol Oklahoma since 1912. Mr. Harral has been Director ot Press Relations at the university since 1936. He was granted his Bachelor of Arts degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State Teachers College in 1931 and his M. A. at the University of Oklahoma in 1936. Mr. Beaird is Secretary of the University ot Oklahoma Association, Director ot the Oklahoma Memorial Union, and General Employment Secretary. 1-le received his Bachelor ot Arts degree at the University of Oklahoma in 1921, and has been employed here since 1926. STUDENT REGISTRATION George E. Wadsack, registrar of the university, and his staff assistants are charged with the re- sponsibility of enrollment checking and approval and of the distribution of catalogs and other univer- GEORGE E' WADSACK sity bulletins. l-le was appointed to a university position in 1919 and became official registrar in li-326. Mr. Wadsack serves on the Administrative Council, which aids the president in the determination of administrative, legislative and judi- cial acts. The registry office keeps records of students attending the university and has charge of the compilation of grades. The activities of the office are heavy throughout the year and espe- cially during the summer months when information about the uni- versity is in great demand. ' The first semester of this rr year a record number of over 6,300 students passed through the registry office during university enrolment. lnformation contained in en- rollment books is carefully checked and cards distributed to the proper in- structors or administrative heads.
