The practice of medicine vitally depends on the continued skillful help of the allied para- medical branches. lt is only by their aid that the physician can adequately diagnose, treat and support his patients. Conscientious nurs- ing, lab studies and tests by qualified technic- ians, appropriate therapy from dedicated thera- pists, and continual research on a very broad front by graduates . . . all these must continue if medicine is to meet today's needs. Larry Keating, working on his Doctorate in Communication Disorders, studies the auditory nerve potential of children through a computer.

ew Buildings Highlight Growth The Center is undergoing rapid growth in the effort to keep pace with the new technol- ogy and services for care of the ill. But build- ings and facilities are only the tools which can be used by well trained, competent persons. Thus, one vital function of this Center is to keep the level of instruction at its peak , the growth of the campus reflects this trend to- ward better and more training. The Family Medicine Clinic, to be dedicated later this year, in- volves a new concept - total health care for the entire family. The Faculty House is located 2 blocks from the campus and offers 3 dining rooms, conference suites, a swimming pool, and several lovely guest rooms for overnight visitors to the Medical Center.
