THE SOPHOMORIE CLASS Our sophomore year we had eight major courses each of which was more important than the other. Parasitology convinced us that we really did need to know what diseases were prevalent in the forties, l740,s that is, of the upper Amazon Valley native population. i. e. especially for quizes. All in all. our subjects were well worth the effort, bacteriology being sufficiently septic, pathology suf- ficiently diseased, and pharmacology sufficiently ad- dicted. X-ray anatomy, we learned, can go in one ear and out the other. Medicine was quite instructive. For the first time we were given the opportunity to have professional meetings with patients. and indeed this was toward what we had all been working. Most could say when the year was ended, Vent vidig vicif' It came to me in ll dn-uni one night! 7 Left to right: l.. H. Riley, presidentg O. W. Iones, vice-presidentg M. l.
