ational CA PERS H eadquarlers at O U The coed affiliates of the Pershing rifles is a small but dedicated group of girls whose service to the ROTC is considered invaluable, They have been involved in a variety of service and charitable activities such as the annual Blood Drive and collecting for the Marshal State football team memorial fund. Led by one of the few female Generals in the United States, this national organization, head- quartered here at OU, is responsible for directing the activities of over 25 other female ROTC units on campuses all over the nation. They have performed this task in a most com- mendable manner this year, and we expect ,even better things in the future. Our main goal this year was to give you a better book than in the last three years, only you can de- cide that. The year started with a new sponsor, a new printer, a new editor, and an all volunteer staff, which was small but achieved a new high in adver- tising sales. Advertising sales surpassed Sl,400, which made it possible for the new style of binding, two pages of four color and end sheets. Good times change into memories only too fast, we have tried to capture some of those memories, some are good and some you would like to forget. We really enjoyed giving this, THE LIEUTEN- ANT 1971, to you.
