The unit hosted a reception on 22 February in conjunction with the Junior Parents' Weekend sponsored by the University. The reception provided the par- ents with the opportunity to meet the Unit's staff and also get a glimpse of the future life of their son or daughter. After con- versing with the staff over coffee and cake, the parents were given an opportunity to watch one of four different movies presenting either the Aviation, Submarine, or Surface Ship Community or the Marine Corps. For the upperclassmen it was a good re- view of techniques which they learned in the previous years and for the freshmen it provided valuable training which may help save someone's life some- day. During the two-part Race for Life program taught by the South Bend Chapter of the Red Cross, the midshipmen learned one-rescuer CPR techniques and also learned the methods in which to help someone who is choking. 4 X4 191. ,A . Midshipmen broke into groups of three to practice their CPR techniques. MIDN 1!C Pat Burns sure looks like he's having fun learning how to save a choking victim.

Paul Zimmer thinks that it's only soda. 52 ICR Y i The annual senior picnic again provided the seniors with a last chance to party to- gether with friends which they have made through their four years in the Unit. The seniors got together, and with Q. the Unit staff, had a great time. Many enjoyable sports were played and many people used this time to retell all those stories which they accu- mulated in their time here at good old ND.
