CAPT Rohrbough awards MIDN UC Chura with an official Marine Corps Sword. MIDN UC Scott Cade gives LCDR Hartzell a monogrammed ND blanket as a retirement present from the Battalion. The Spring Awards Ceremony was held on 5 May. The ceremo- ny consisted of the normal awar- ding of academic stars and phys- ical fitness awards. In addition to these all time favorites this ceremony had a few new wrinkles such as the retirement of LCDR Hartzell and SKC Darrah and the chastisement of the keeper of the headdress worn by the President of the Semper Fidelis Society. Some Navy Op- tion got a hold of the hat without the knowledge of MIDN UC Pe- ter Bowen, who was in charge of the safety of the hat. This hat was then returned at the awards ceremony where MIDN Bowen was made to wear it in front of everyone.
