UNIT BA KETBALL TEAM The Notre Dame Netter Club, coached by LT Wachtl and SKC Darrah, competed in the annual Great Lakes Basketball Tournament on March 21 and 22. After losing the first game in the double elimination tournament to Miami fOhioJ, the team went on to win its next four games. The final loss was to Minnesota, which resulted in a fourth place finish for the team. They also competed in the Pur- due lnvitational on March 31. Next year should be a good year with many upperclassmen returning for another season. Reilly calls Nothin' but net then cans it!! This year the Battalion com- peted in the first annual Purdue invitational Sports Festival. The Unit had a great turnout and we had a very respectable finish in the team race down in West La- fayette. The midshipmen who attended competed in Basket- ball, Volleyball, Men's and Women's racquetball and bowl- ing. All who attended the festi- val enjoyed themselves and are making plans to return next year and win the whole festival.
