Dennis Jensen was Director of Financial Aid at UNI for 17 years. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from UNI and taught school for one year in George, Iowa. In 1958 he returned to UNI as assis- tant to the dean of students. Dennis was on excellent professional and a splendid human being. said President Kamerick. We win miss him greatly. President Kamerick presides over the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. School Of Business Since its Inception in 1969. the UNI School of Business has grown rapidly, it was awarded college status in 1978. placing it on equal footing with the four other instructional colleges at UNI. Dean Robert Waller was ap- pointed the head of the new college which houses four in- structional departments: Ac- counting. Business Education and Administrative Manage- ment. Management and Mar- keting. The BA degree is of- fered by all four areas and teaching certification in ac- counting. general business, se- cretarlal office education, and marketing and distributive education is offered by the Department of Business Educa- tion and Administrative Man- agement. The MBA program was initiated in 1975. The reputation of the School has continued to grow. both In Iowa and within the entire Mid- west. A fine accounting pro- gram has contributed a great deal to the enhancement of Its reputation. The CPA prepara- tion is one of the best in the country. Other areas of excel- lence include finance, mar- keting. production manage- ment, administrative manage- ment. human resources man- agement, and teaching. The School of Business serves many other disciplines through- out the university whose stu- dents desire to enroll h one or more of the professional courses offered by the School. The primary objective of the School of Business is to provide a high quality professiona! edu- cation that will enable its graduates to meet effectively the needs of modem society.
