John Morrell UNI Students Prepare For Management Management is a relatively flexible major. Unlike other areas of study in business, its purpose lies not in the training for a specific skill, but in hav- ing the skill to use later on in manage- ment itself. Dr. Peter Goulet, Acting Depart- ment Head, estimates that one-third of all management students choose a fi- nance emphasis; one-fifth, a production emphasis; and those remaining a per- sonnel human resource emphasis. Possibilities for employment cover a variety of jobs. Among them marketing plays a leading role.
