The first few days were precarious ones. You had a sick feeling in your stomach as you lay awake the night before it all began, an awesome wondering fear that 'cmaybe I won't be up to it. Then, immaculate, and too cheerful, you were a whole ten min- utes early to meet the bus. None of the other new teachers seemed half as scared as you. Your supervisor seemed so nice when you were introduced. And then there were mil- lions of faces turned up to you, wanting to know about you. You will never know what you replied in answer to their questions!
