. . . to a man who has devoted 2 I years of his life to service at the Iowa State Teachers College . . . one who is largely responsible for publicizing Teachers Col- lege throughout the United States . . . since 1929 Mr. Holmes has spent many of his waking hours dreaming up new schemes to put Teachers College in the news, to get high school students interested in teaching, and to make students and alumni proud of their college . . . gradu- ating cum laude from the University of Michigan, Mr. Holmes has had experience in newspaper work and as a college radio program director, as well as a publicity director and journalism professor ... a man who well deserves the praise and respect of all who know and love the Iowa State Teachers College . . .
