It was a season of 7 a. m. classes, no school on Monday, quick naps in the air-conditioned library and rides in spunky sports cars. A record 5,200 students enrolled the first six weeksg 4,170 students set another record the second summer term. Planning, organizing and building left little time for laggard living. The USNT Summer Planning Board prepared its projects for the long term. Plans to expand the university's phone system were announced. The Board of Regents approved 61 new teachers. And workmen scurrying to lay the new Union Building foundation destroyed an old friend, the UB Terrace- known to North Texans as the Slab. 26 I
