Students are prepared to function effectively E ly I at it and efficiently in our society. They do research to determine the underlying factors concerning cur- rent economic, political, and social problems. Major students in the field are prepared to take positions in business, government service, the teach- ing profession, and social work. ,mm Geography A three-month vacation for college credit-that is one of the features offered by the Geography De- partment. Each summer a busload of geography stu- dents tour part of the United States and study geo- graphy while on a fast-moving, fun-filled trip. Geographic regions, historic sites, and popula- tion centers are further studied when the students come back in the fall to classrooms in the Historical Building. i A varied curriculum for the intent geography major is complete.
