Nor piclured is Berl Godfrey Texans who have played a vital part in the growth and develop- ment of North Texas are the members of the North Texas Board of Regents. These people have given freely of their time and energy to help the College grow to be one of the nationis most prominent edu- cational institutions. The College administrators depend on the Board for aid in mak- ing the College policies and decisions, for it serves as official controller and manager of North Texas. North Texas was given its own Board of Regents by the Texas Legislature when the College was reorganized in l948. The members of the Board, by their hard work and never failing interest in the College, are responsible in a large part for the rapidly growing reputation of the school.
