The President's Message THR RETURN or SPRING, the absence of war, and the ap- pearance of another yearbook should gladden the heart of every student of North Texas State College. Never before have nerves been so taut and feelings so easily ruffled as during the past tour years. Freedom has been restricted on every hand, sometimes of necessity and sometimes apparently without reason. All in all, both students and faculty have appraised the situations with which they have been confronted and have reacted Wtih commendable understanding. , The yearbook tor 1945-46 depicts for those of the future who may desire it an overall picture of college lite of today. It also reminds those of the present of the contributions which civilizations of the past have made to the lite of today. Barren would be the culture ot modern times were it stripped ot the influences of ancient Greece and Rome.
