So long as the- process continues, life isgiwhen the process ceases, there is no life. Senility is a direct result of the slowing down of the life processes due to deposits of non-living matter within and without the cells, with a consequent solidihcation of the tissues. Solidincation is a part of the vicious cycle which slows down the life processes at an increasing rate until death is the inevitable catastrophe. Such is the message and verdict of science as well as of theology. No matter how final and overwhelming this message and this verdict may appear, man has ever considered them cruel, and he has never quite believed the message, nor has he completely surrendered to the verdict, Man's search for the fountain of youth and immortality remains unchallenged as the oldest of all stories, because he refuses to allow science and theology to say ..,... for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. . Since true living is not to be measured by years but by experiences and contacts, we may by a knowledge of the past span a thousand years in a day. By maintaining vital associations with the current events which encompass the earth man may live much in a brief span.
