Dean Wifmer's is nof a iob fhaf is done when regisfrafion is complefed, even fhough freshman orienfafion is one of fhe biggesf jobs on fhe campus. He is called upon fo adiusf schedules and puf freshmen on The roads fo success fhroughouf fhe enfire year. Affer receiving his degree in elecfrical engineering in 1922, he wenf on fo complefe work for a lVlasfer's degree four years lafer. Af fhe Universify of Michigan in l934 he fulfilled requiremenfs for his fhird educafional degree, and was granfed a docfor of philosophy in physics. l-le has been a member of fhe Universify faculfy for eighfeen years. This physics-'reaching dean is well able fo undersfand fhe problems of beginners af fhe Universify because he is a Norfh Dalcofa producf himself. l-le was born af Bafhgafe of American parenfs, and has lived a complefely normal Norfh Daliofa life. l-le is married fo a member of Phi Befa Kappa and an honorary member of Sigma Epsilon Sigma, and has an eighf-year-old daughfer. -2i.
