While al Norlhweslern, Wilson acled as insrrucior of English and regislrar of lhe school. During his years here Wilson has buill up a well-organized and e1Clicien+ regislrar's office. The work of rhis office includes issuing and ediling orlicial Universiry publicafions in addilion fo ils many orher dulies. Cuslodian oi l20,000 boolcs and much miscellaneous malerial is Miss Della Maihys, Universiry librarian. Coming here in I'-733 as reference and periodical direclor, she was appoinled head librarian Jrvvo years laler. She had been granled degrees from Lawrence College and The Universiiy of Illinois, where she was an assislani in ihe library school. Each year, more Than 2,000 volumes are added 'ro lhe Universify library which is housed in a large Golhic building. Downlown cilizens, as well as Universily sfudenrs, malce use of ils wide educalional and recrealional iaciliries. Beginning his worlc al ihe Universiiy as a carpenrer in I9l8, Superin- lendenf of buildings and grounds, E. G, Fell has been employed here ever since. Assisled by Mrs. Velma Norlon, Fell conrrols a srafl of fourleen ianifors, carpeniers, plumbers, and nighl walchmen.
