From the opening days of orientation, Freddy Frosh began to adapt himself to the Carolina way of life. School work was often sacrificed to frater- nity visiting and hand shaking, and football week- ends gave him little time to adjust to school life. By the end of the first semester, he was asking the same questions: Where am I, and what does it all mean? Freddy soon found himself supplying a part of the important foundations in politics, the Y, musical oi ' ganizations, publication staffs, sports, and the Carolina spirit. By the end of the spring semester, Freddy had gained a measure of self-confidence. H e felt that he knew where he was, and what he was doing.
