Pierson Dean of the Graduate School Graduate School The Graduate School offers opportunity to qualified students who have completed work leading to a bachelor ' s degree for advanced and special- ized studies. This School endeavors to prepare students to become investi- gators and teachers in special fields of learning, to foster interest and capacity in research, and to apply research methods to the problems of society, government, and industry. Work for advanced degree is under the general supervision of the graduate faculty.
