as one man i can do very little with you at my side i can do a hell of a lot and ,there is a lot to be done there is really so very little that has to be accepted and there is so much that we have the power to change all that we have to do is to work together we can find the new world that we are seeking right here on this earth but before we can attempt to find our new world we must be able to look about us and recognize our environment for what it is . one polluted mess our entire state of being is affected by our surroundings who among us are strong enough to continue to exist to live when our neighborhoods are becoming nothing more than ghettos through our neglect our air is so foul that we have difficulty breathing our waters so sour that their natural inhabitants can no longer live our earth so full of debris that its wildlife no longer have a sanctuary of their own and are becoming extinct our surroundings in general are so littered that we no longer recognize natural color yet we surrive but for how long and in what state for we have nothing that has not been affected by our environment there are wars endless wars and there is crime and more crime who could dare isolate our environment from our society losing one's self in the day to day sort of existence we lead a human machine struggling to retain some semblance of humanity how do we handle our own monsters how do we keep from being devoured by them how can we go on living i fear that before death can claim its rightful toll, i will be engulfed by my environ- ment i will lose my sight from the horrors i see my body poisoned by Qhe air i breathe and the water i drink my mind plagued by such an existence and when the end of my life does come and death saves me from life, i will more than likely have stumbled to my grave on the debris about me surely with acceptance there is death and with change there is life a better life a newer world. the editor

with a good conscience our only reward with history the final judge of our deeds let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking his blessings and his help, but knowing that here on earth god's work must truely beour own . . . let us begin now. int
