Captain Mr. John Charlton, Faculty Advi. The Bowling Team was organized to develop teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic ability among those students interested in bowling. It is a member of the Independent League which is composed of business enterprises in Wilmington, and each member of the team is a member of the American Bowling Congress. It became a part of the athletic program of the College in the fall of 1949, with Mr. John Charlton as faculty advisor. The team placed second at the end of the first half of the season. 45
