We who remain shall long remember Harriet Elliott, because she was these — and more — to us. We shall remember her keen, well-disciplined mind, her energy and vigor, her quick but kindlv sense of humor -her I ' brupt. infectious chuckle. And even more impor- tant, her philosophy of life which now lies rooted in our student government. We shall not soon forget her words responsible freedom , her readiness to . .tfcy« . ,■ . the new and seemingly impossible, her acceptance of our imperfections. We shall remember her conviction that oui college life should make us ready for the world, not hide us from it. We shall remember that she set our goals where we might reach them. We shall be ever grateful for the faith and confidence she had in us. for her never- failing optimism, her sympathetic understanding.
