On January 17, 1957, Charlotte College celebrated its tenth anniversary. We, the stu- dents who are now a part of OWL LAND, remember the occasion with feelings of pride and determination. That night we took our hats off to the past. A ' e remembered the beginning— an extension of the University of North Carolina to educate an overflow of veterans. We remembered the growth— a two year junior college accredited by the North Caro- hna Department of Public Instruction to provide college for hundreds of yearning men and women. VVe plaved our parts in the present— Charlotte College, a real college in spirit— the spirit of pioneers, pioneers building a college, a college to provide pioneers to build our nation! ' We took our coats off to the future — four years of college, buildings and grounds, classes da) ' and night. January 1957-A DREAM! January 1967-A REALITY!
