University life is a study in con- trasts. The mass uniformity of a ROTC lineup stands in opposition to the lone individual who stands forever on the sidelines. However, ROTC membership need not signify an involvement, nor does solitary activity always indicate apathy. Di- versity is an invaluable part of any campus. 22

The atmosphere of FSU ' s campus has something to please almost everyone. Modern dormitories, and a new Fine Arts Center demonstrate clearly that FSU is a school of growth, motion, and progress, while the rolling tree marked slopes lend a feeling of peace and seclusion. Florence State is a blend of the past and the future with a strong accent on the now. 21
