In its third year on campus, Tri Beta attempted to stimu- late interest and scholarly achievement in biological sciences, to encourage research, and to promote dis- semination of biological information. Activities this year included various speaker programs, field trips, tutorial service, and electron microscope instruction by Dr. Manuel Ibanez. Circle K Circle K Club of LSUNO, men's service organization affili- ated with Kiwanis International, strives to promote leadership through responsible action and a sense of pride for one's community. As a service organization the club's efforts are directed towards activities aiding campus and local levels. Some of this year's proiects included manning polls for Student Gov- ernment elections, working in coniunction with the Ecology Club to sort bottles and plant trees, serving as tutors at Kingsley House, painting the recreation room at Variety Chil- dren's Home, and staging a talent show with Fortier High School for the children at Gumbel Home.
